Red Sox No More

I have been a huge Red Sox fan for years since when I was in the Philippines.
I just hated the Yankee system, so I was naturally drawn into their arch rival in Red Sox.
I followed every step in Red Sox since the Little days,
but my fanaticism really took off when Terry Francona became the manager. His style of team was practically how I would play a team and how I would organize my team if I play baseball video games.
FYI, I hate Yankees and all LA teams (Yes, ALL LA SPORTS TEAMS). I am okay with Mets. I liked them ever since their Subway Series with Yankees with Mike Hampton in their rotation.
Yankees was just never my style and their dumb fans irritated me... There are some who prefer their system, I can understand that. But there are just some dumb fans and most of Yankee fans are that way, so they irritate me to nuts.
So, other than LG Twins in Korea (a baseball team in Korea and I was their Junior fan team member), Red Sox franchise items are the first ones I got (cap, shirt, etc) and that's my choice of team when I am playing baseball game - I also purchased San Francisco Giants items since their my other favorite now.
Last year, Yankees was not even in the playoffs, and we rightfully lost to Rays. I acknowledged that Rays were the better team, but I forgave them since they managed to beat LA Angels again.
This year, we met Angels again in the playoffs, but this time, we lost.
Our offense was not there, and pitching lost their concentrations...
Today, I thought we would at least pull off one win and avoid the sweep, but Papelbon was totally off tonight.
He was amazing throughout the postseason in his career, but today was one of the worst outings he had in 2009.
So we were swept.
Losers have no place in the world.
I love watch sports because it gives so much emotional involvement and drama, and I know how much hard work players put into their development... I don't exactly know how do they do it, but I know it takes a serious amount of devotion that a lot of people cannot do.
But now they lost... out of all to an LA team!
Since Giants were long gone weeks ago, Red Sox were the only reason I was watching baseball.
I could root for Phillies for the rest of the playoffs, but yeah... I am more of indifferent than anything now.
I really should plan for my Fantasy NBA now.
One month until the NBA tip-off, baby!
