Ass-Printing

Daily Words 2010. 9. 7. 15:13
It seems like everyone who at least thought seriously about the reason of one's existence conclude alike.
The reason for one's existence eventually reduces to the matter of ass-printing.
Leaving one's ass-prints during one's ephemeral life becomes all that matters as one continuously question for the reason of one's existence.

Well, I also questioned regarding my existence seriously until I read Nietzsche 7-8 years ago.
People I see who have found their reasons seem to burn their fire for existence continuously.
I, on the other hand, have been rather lackluster lately.
I should start continue burning myself to leave my ass-prints in this world.

After all, there are two things that matter to me:
1) My parents and other loved ones; and
2) Leaving my ass-prints in this world - something good for as many as possible.

Handwriting

Daily Words 2010. 9. 7. 15:04
I miss handwriting.
Today, I spent hours writing random stuff page after page.
Well, yesterday and today.
My life these days is so dependent on keyboards.
I also enjoy typing and keyboards are very important to me - which is the reason why I appreciate Apple keyboards and love Thinkpads.

But I am very old school inside.
When it is something that matters, I still prefer handwriting.
I do worry that my handwriting is getting worse and I am losing my own style.
Believe it or not, when I was still in elementary school in Korea, I've won awards for having good handwriting.
I also did calligraphy since I was 3 years old...

But I tried to master cursive when I started learning English and also tried to follow some people's penmanships...
When I was in college, I thought I finally found my own English penmanship despite of losing my Korean penmanship.
But these days, I am not so sure.
Handwriting is so awkward to me these days... I should be thankful that at least writing in English doesn't hurt my arm. Handwriting in Korean is a test of timeliness and pain tolerance.

Recently, I even thought about getting a tablet and writing my blog posts using my handwriting and realized how crazy that idea sounded recalling my laziness. But I really want to do something about this handwriting thing. Need to find old notes from school days and review. I used to be pretty good for a guy...
When I first started working, my coworkers said I write very well for a guy... Now, they come and ask me what I was writing... Sigh.

Get ready to close the heart as soon as it opens up.
If it ever opens up...
Sadly, it does.
