Gifts

Until gifts are sent,
I always focus on pleasing the recipient.
But when I hear that the recipient was pleased,
I myself feel like on cloud nine.

Then I wonder: was the gift for the recipient or for me?

Then I refute myself: Dumbass. Everyone involved is happy; that's two birds with one stone. Enjoy the moment.

For that, I was extremely happy today.
For I could hear exuberant jubilation on the other end of line.
