Sure, there were a couple short movies that were boring...
Especially 14e arrondissement was boring, and I didn't really like the mime story (Tour Eiffel), too.
And American directed short-films were too American-like... For example, the Coen brothers' work.
Coen brothers' Tuileries felt like a Pixar short film.
These movies also had comical factors that enjoy from European films.
I hate Elijah Wood, but the movie he was in (Quartier de la Madeleine) made me laugh at the end.
There were a couple more made me laugh, too.
18 short movies set in Paris about love.
I can't complain.
The thing about short movies is that they require some real attention to acting, which I enjoy to pay attention to,
and often have to focus on one emotion, like 4 minute songs do compared to symphonies, and messages are portrayed clearly...and these movies do both very well.
Need to get the DVD.
or...
I need to get a ticket to Paris and be there. Damn...
Need to learn French.
5/5
PS: Perhaps I've watched Star Wars too much. I can recognize Natalie Portman's hand. sigh...
