I became a fan of Audrey Tautou. She was so spontaneous and fun to watch.
I laughed for several times while watching this movie. That's something. I just wanted to watch a French movie. They are more honest than other films in my opinion. They might be fantasy-like, but they are more honest of things happening within.
A materialistic woman... and a love overcoming the materialism... which could happen in real, although not often.
It took a lot of time, fucking others (for money in case of this movie), money and effort of the guy.
I will check more movies of Tautou if I have time.
Netflix told me my rating on this movie would be 3 stars. An average. So my expectations were low. I just wanted some entertainment.
And I got it.
I did not think a bit, I just enjoyed with strawberry and a glass or two of chardonnay.
But I gotta make a few notes:
1) It was annoying to see Shia LaBeouf again. He is the same in the movie Transformer, Disturbia, Eagle Eye, and now this one. I see no difference in his character, behavior, facial features, and maybe even hair style. He was hella annoying.
2) I knew Cate Blanchet can do any English accent. She was amazing in her diction yet again with a Russian accent.
3) Spielberg makes movies that people once thought of. My dad told me that, and he did yet again. Alien influence on wonders of the world and ancient sun worshippers are rather cliche though.
I gave it 4 stars for entertaining my Saturday at home.
A comedy that never gave me a laughter, but a warmth. Weird.
